National Chocolate Chip Day

Mrs......Chocolate Chip Cookies

Okay, I'm sure we all have out favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.  But, this recipe from that famous "Mrs" is a pure chocolate treat!

Cream Together: 

2 cups butter

2 cups sugar

2 cups brown sugar

Add:

4 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

In a Separate Bowl:

4 cups flour

5 cups oatmeal (put small amounts in the blender after measuring until oatmeal turns to powder.

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. baking powder

2 tsp baking soda

Mix all ingredients together and add:

24 oz chocolate chips

1 8z. hershey bar, grated

Optional:

3 cups nuts

Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
