Teddy Bear Picnic July 10th

Teddy Bears at the Beach.......

The kids got very creative with these fun teddy graham, beach inspired cupcakes.
They cut fruit roll-ups to make swimming suits, beach rings, beach towels, and more.
They even added these fun little umbrellas for shade.  they used colored sugar for the water and crushed graham crackers for sand.

Our favorite bear was a Gap teddy bear my son Jake received 11 1/2 years ago when he was born.  He loved that bear.  When he was old enough to talk we asked him what he wanted to name his bear.  He told us he wanted to name him, "Jakey Bear".  We nicknamed him J.B., and it stuck.  As he grew older, J.B. sounded much more age appropriate than "Jakey Bear".

These days, J.B. is tucked away in a box in my son's closet.  But I have to admit that every once in a while, when I'm putting laundry away, or tidying up Jake's room, I sneak a peak of days gone by, and give old "Jakey Bear" a squeeze.

So get those teddy bears out and create some memories with your kids, because before you know it time will have slipped by.
